Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC)
Topic: The Regulation of Private Military Contractors and the Prevention of Illicit Arms Trafficking.
DISEC is the First Committee of the United Nations General Assembly. It deals with disarmament, global challenges, and threats to peace that affect the international community and seeks out solutions to the challenges in the international security regime.
United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)
Topic: Protecting the Rights of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in Conflict Zones.
The UNHRC is a United Nations body whose mission is to promote and protect human rights around the world. The Council investigates allegations of breaches of human rights in UN member states and addresses important thematic human rights issues.
World Health Organization (WHO)
Topic: Strengthening Global Health Systems to Prevent Future Pandemics.
The WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for international public health. Its primary role is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations' system.
